Hi I'm Ed , a designer from the UK. I'm making Good Goods as I wanted to make a simple visual site as a guide to buying good quality goods.
Good Goods exists to help you wade through all the cheap, poorly manufactured tat that exists on the internet. Its a selection of products that should be designed well and built to last. Good Goods that you will want to keep, or if they're a gift then they'll want to keep.
I'm just a designer from the UK who wanted a more visual directory of cool stuff. Partially as a wishlist and partially as a gifting guide, especially useful at this time of year.
I know most tech isn't built to last and has planned obsolescene built in. But its still possible to buy tech that is better than the competition, lasts longer and doesn't break immediately. Or maybe even has a decent warranty.
You're likely not going to agree with everything on the list. We all have bad experiences with good products but this is a list for inspiration, you don't need to agree with it all. That being said if theres something on the list that you feel is truly undeserving then please reach out with why you think it sucks and I might remove it.
I want the list to be more than just Darn Tough socks and cast iron pans so its not all going to last a lifetime, just be considerably better than your average goods.
